Dr Watson’s Baker Street File & more!

Following Brettcon: The Return, we are excited to announce we have several pieces of merchandise now available on our Etsy store and we’d like to focus on something of particular interest to fans of the show – the re-release of the Baker Street File!

The original Baker Street File was a hand-typed, quick-reference guide to anything and everything relevant to the character, costume and habits of Sherlock Holmes and his friend Watson, all taken directly from Conan Doyle’s original text. This was considered the Bible to the actors and producers on the Granada series, and was said to always be in Jeremy Brett’s possession on set. 

For young Sherlockians, finding a reproduction copy of the Baker Street File had been next to impossible for decades. But thanks to a few good friends, it is available once again!

Back in 2022, after our interview with David Burke, he kindly lent us his copy of the original File with an aim towards reproducing it. Now, with the blessing of his family, we are happy to offer this new edition, based on Mr Burke’s personal copy, typed and presented in the style of the original for the first time ever, and including David’s own hand-written notes and markings in the margins.. titled Dr. Watson’s Baker Street File.
