Episode 42 – BRETTCON and The Case of the 40th Anniversary Celebration

The 40th anniversary of the Granada Sherlock Holmes series is upon us and what better way to celebrate than with your friends at the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes Podcast!  We are planning something special and in this episode we briefly discuss our plans and ideas for celebration (which we have affectionately named BRETTCON) including a gathering of cast and crew members,  podcast listeners, a special screening, and more – near London! Have a listen and let us know your thoughts on celebrating the 40th!  We hope to see you there!

Venue Info:

We’ve taken over the Mayhew Theatre inside the Guildford County School, which is a specialist music college in the heart of Guildford in Surrey.

Also, dinner will be included with all ticket types. We will be contacting ticket holders about dietary requirements in due course. Details to be announced soon

How to get here:

By Car: The school is situated just outside the Guildford city centre, and is best accessed via the A3(M). Using sat navs, the above address should take you straight to the site. There is a limited amount of parking on site, about 37 spaces, but there is on road parking in the roads surrounding the school, as well as local car parks in the centre of Guildford which is a small walk away.

By Train: Guildford train station is approximately a 10 minute walk away, and can be reached via twice hourly trains from Waterloo station if coming from London.

By Bus: The Farnham Road Hospital stop is situated metres from the main reception as is serviced by number 8, 18, 46 and 65 bus.

By Bike: Whether you’ve got Palmer tyres with longitudinal stripes or Dunlop’s with a patch on the outer cover, just follow to the cattle tracks across the moors.

By Handsome Cab: Unfortunately, these stopped running early last century and will be unable to be accessed. Please look for an alternative mode of transport.
